We would like to inform you that the Center for Books and Reading’s (Cepell) Call for “Translations” 2022 has been published, offering grants for the translation into foreign languages of works by Italian authors already published in print in Italian at the time of the Call’s release. With a budget of €400,000, the Call for Proposals will award grants ranging from a minimum of €500 to a maximum of €5,000 per individual work.
Applications must be submitted, on behalf of the beneficiary foreign publisher, by publishing houses, publishing groups or literary agencies with registered offices in Italy that meet the requirements listed in the Call and have entered into a rights transfer contract or letter of intent with a foreign publisher between September 1, 2022 and January 30, 2023.
Applications must be submitted exclusively online through the calls platform https://bandi.cepell.it by no later than 1:00 p.m. on 01/30/2023 accompanied by the documentation indicated in the Call.
