Autrice canadese di numerosi bestseller su attivismo, arte e creatività, ha anche realizzato illustrazioni per il Washington Post e il New York Times.
Con Terre di mezzo Editore, Keri Smith ha pubblicato “Risveglia la città” (2018), un libro che offre proposte semplici e divertenti per disseminare le strade di arte, parole, oggetti, fiori e idee.
Tra i suoi libri: “Wreck This Journal”, “This is Not a Book” e “How to be an Explorer of the World – the Portable Life/Art Museum”, editi Penguin.
Realizza workshop che si basano sui suoi libri, e ha anche insegnato a una classe dell’Emily Carr University of Art and Design, di Vancouver.
Nel 2012 ha creato un’installazione pubblica alla mostra Urban Play di Copenaghen, chiamata “The Society for Exploratory Research”.
Nel 2013 è stata invitata ad essere un “Resident Thinker” per l’opera artistica “Nowhere Island”, dell’artista Alex Hartley per le Cultural Olympiad, con Yoko Ono e ad altri pensatori.
Inoltre Keri Smith è consultente al Center for Artistic Activism.
Ha inventato l’app Pocket Scavenger, che ha vinto la Best Nonfiction Adult app al Digital Book Awards del 2014.
